Delay in submitting Montembeault evaluation reports
A delay in the filing of Pascal Montembeault’s evaluation reports still results in his files being transferred to court.
In July, the sexual predator Three Rivers acknowledged sexual gestures of 103 adolescent victims at the courthouse of Sherbrooke.
Judge Claire Desgens postponed Tuesday the file to December 4 to set the time of observations on the sentence.
“As soon as you are ready, we will find dates to advance the file,” said the judge to the lawyers Me Guy Plourde in defense and Me Marie-Line Ducharme.
Computer luring, making sexually explicit materials available, encouraging sexual contact, producing and possessing child pornography. The list of 163 accusations he has admitted is long.
The 39-year-old went from crime behind the screen to the one in person with a teenager from Sherbrooke where he committed sexual touching in August 2017.
He has been detained since his arrest in this case.
His lawyer told the court that Montembeault had followed up at the Sorel Detention Center pending his sentence.
Pascal Montembeault used the pseudonym Marc-André Cormier to address his potential victims on social media.
He used the dating sites, Facebook and Skype to make the computer lure. He had sexual conversations with the victims. He transferred photos of his body and sometimes received explicit photos and videos of these girls.
The alleged victims are located in all regions of Quebec. Montembeault has even made victims in France.
He did not use the threats, but some psychological pressure.
Stopped in Sherbrooke
The man was incapacitated after his arrest in this sordid affair of sexual assault committed on this 14-year-old girl in a park in Sherbrooke.
Since confessing to this crime, he has collaborated with law enforcement in confessing crimes against 102 other teenagers.
