Gala l’ADISQ: Praises at the top of the nominations

The starry course of Vincent Roberge and his project Les Louanges will continue until the galas of the ADISQ: with six mentions in artistic categories and three on the industrial side, the Lévisien of origin will start at the top of the race to the trophies Felix this year.
Aith Night is a panther , Praises can aspire to the price of critical acclaim, the best alternative album of singer-songwriter, song, video and revelation of the year. It should be noted that artists from the region do well in the latter category: the names of Lou-Adriane Cassidy, Jerome 50 and Sarahmée also mingle with that of Montreal pianist Alexandra Stréliski, herself well placed at the top of the list nominated with six artistic and two industrial mentions.

After winning three Félix in 2017 with The Harvesters , Alaclair Ensemble is named among the rap albums (with FouKi, Koriass, Loud and Souldia), the choices of the critics (with FouKi, Salomé Leclerc, Les Louanges, Les Trois Agreements and Alexandra Stréliski), videos and groups of the year. In this last category, the public will be asked to choose between the self-proclaimed “Low-Canadian” rappers, the duo 2Frères, Bleu Jeans Bleu, The Cowboys Fringants and the Three Agreements.

Maybe Watson, Robert Nelson and Eman perform Alaclair Ensemble on the Plains of Abraham during the last Summer Festival. The group wins six nominations for the upcoming galas of the ADISQ.

In female performers, the public vote will be played between Pirate Heart, Lara Fabian, Marie-Mai, Ariane Moffatt and Ginette Reno. On the men’s side, Marc Dupré, Eric Lapointe, Loud, Fred Pellerin and Hubert Lenoir are in the running. After chatting last year by sinking a trophy in the throat, Hubert Lenoir will have the opportunity to reoffend if he is named the most famous artist outside Quebec (Pirate’s Heart, Elisapie, Loud and Alexandra Stréliski) or if his show Darlène is preferred to those of Dumas, Marc Dupré, Loud or Michel Rivard.

Aboriginal artists

After the rap category two years ago, the one dedicated to aboriginal artists will appear at the main gala on Sunday night. Elisapie, Maten, Matiu, Shauit and Florent Vollant are named.

Among the songwriters, the party will be played between rapper Koriass, Salome Leclerc, Les Louanges, Ariane Moffatt and Alexandra Stréliski.

Lou-Adriane Cassidy, Robert Charlebois, Ginette Reno, Michel Rivard and Ingrid St-Pierre are competing on the side of so-called “contemporary adult” albums. In the folk register, Guillaume Beauregard, David Marin, Safia Nolin, Fred Pellerin and Richard Séguin stood out. Blue Jeans Blue, Pirate Heart, Lara Fabian, Marie-Mai and Ariane Moffatt will compete in the pop arena.

Hosted by Pierre Lapointe, the first ADISQ gala will be broadcast on Télé-Québec on October 23 at 8 pm. The industry gala will pre-price its prices off the air the same day. Louis-José Houde will resume the bar of the ADISQ gala for a 14th year on October 27 at 8 pm at ICI Radio-Canada Télé. The public has until October 17 at 5 pm to vote for the group, the female and male performers and the song of the year at radio-canada.ca/adisq
