Nicki Minaj announces her retirement
American rapper Nicki Minaj surprised her fans on Thursday by announcing that she was retiring to focus on her family life.
“I decided to retire and enjoy my family,” she tweeted Thursday. The 36-year-old New Yorker, known for her provocative style and hits like Anaconda, has released four albums since 2010 and has frequently collaborated with major North American rap stars like Drake and Lil Wayne.
His colorful style, his imitations and his raw evocation of sexuality allowed him to conquer the American record sales rankings. “A sparkling rapper with a talent for comical accents and unexpected turn of phrase,” wrote the New York Times in 2018.
“The exaggeration personified, out of the ordinary in his music, his personality and his look”. Nicki Minaj recently made headlines because of her altercations with Cardi B, the other successful rapper of the moment.
She released in June a new single, Megatron, and had explained working on a new album.
Local information matters to me and I want to participate in the future of my life.
