DETROIT — the offense of The Canadian took advantage of a duel to the Detroit Red Wings for pick up a bit of confidence and the club has held up in the end of the game to win 3-2 on Tuesday.
Less than 24 hours after being hit in the face by a shot, the captain of the Canadian Shea Weber was back at his post. He has worn a protective grid for the warm-up period and the beginning of the meeting, but quickly opted for his visor usual.

Brendan Gallagher, Joel Armia and Jeff Petry have hit the target, while the Canadian (23-16-5) has equalled this production offensive in one evening at the expense of Jimmy Howard. Tomas Tatar collected two helpers and Antti Niemi made 30 stops.
This victory has allowed the Canadian to beat the New York Islanders for eighth in the Association of the East with 51 points. The Islanders, however, have three more matches to play before the end of the campaign.
“Detroit played a good game, is a team of fast and young, noted Julien. Perhaps they were more rested than us, but we’ll take the win. Andreas Athanasiou has managed a double for the Red Wings (16-22-7), who have only two wins in their last 11 games (2-7-2). Howard was pushed out of the 22 throws.
