Champion of the Vanier Cup, Laval University’s Rouge et Or football will begin its 25th year of existence and defend its title at Telus Stadium on August 25th.
T he Québec Student Sport Network (RSEQ) unveiled its schedule for the upcoming university football season on Tuesday and Glen Constantin’s protégés will receive Sherbrooke’s Vert & Or on Sunday, August 25 at 1 pm. However, it will take almost a month to see the Rouge et Or at home since the team will enjoy a week off before facing the Concordia Stingers and the Montreal Carabins in the metropolis on September 7 and 14.
The McGill Redmen will be the visitors to Telus Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 22, a local game that will once again be followed by a week off. Hostilities will resume on October 6 while the Stingers will this time be visitors to Quebec City. On October 12, it will be the Rouge et Or’s turn to visit Percival Molson Stadium to face the McGill Redmen while the Carabins will be at Telus Stadium on October 20th.
Finally, it is in Sherbrooke that the Rouge et Or will finish its regular season by visiting Vert & Or on October 26th.
The semi-finals of the RSEQ will be played on Saturday, November 2nd, the final of the Dunsmore Cup on November 9th.
The Canadian semi-final for the Uteck Cup will take place on November 16 in the Maritimes between the Quebec champion team and the Atlantic University Sport Champion. The Vanier Cup game will be held Nov. 23 at Telus Stadium.
